Sculpting with a Video!

So I doodled a dragon, thought it would be fun to sculpt so I did a quick sculpt and polypaint.
And dragons fly so I rotated him and placed an image layer behind him. Like Mew I started from a Dynamesh sphere from the lightbox. anyway here's the link to my video of it.

One More Beer - my attempt

Hey I'm back with some more sculpting! I've been super busy the last week coming up with this!
I learned Maya's nHair when maya couldn't handle a geo based on the FiberMesh and I'm glad cause now I have another skill under my belt. At the time I was going insane with frustration cause I did teach myself through some trial and error. I mean look at that hair in the 3rd top image in that compilation. that hair is majestic. otherwise I got tons of things out of this project and wish it just showed better in the final render.

Below is my Zbrush Sculpt I did of the viking, I used a few material types that didn't transfer to maya either, I spoke to my instructor and I will be looking at maya's mib_grayball shaders. If you're wondering where his legs are it's because they're not shown in the shot and I like to be as efficient as possible....... not because I'm lazy. lol

Mew!

Looking for something to sculpt quickly I went straight to pokemon and after learning of the extra 500 or so pokemon, I picked Mew! I had a lot of fun, the tail I'm not happy with, but whatever. took me about 45 minutes to an hour of actual work, I'm also watching BBC's Sherlock. I learned more about the movie palette; like every time it renders a video it just loads them into a film, so you can do a Time Lapse followed by a turntable but it seems to only do one turn so probably click that a few times, and then a backwards workflow for no reason! and the just export as a .mov file. I don't know about you but I think that's F*ing awesome.

So anyway just a straight up Mew. My ref image supplied a cool albeit stretched BG.
Sadly I spent way more time getting the video ready than doing the model, I think I'm going to start using Vimeo. cause then I can post my

Feel the Bump

 ........Bump mapping :-D
Given the scene file from 3drender.com 's lighting and texturing challenge. I came up with this. Learned a lot while doing this and I hope there is an obvious progression in skill between my first shot and the second. It was long and at times tedious but I am proud of what came out of it.

First Z brush Sculpture

So I've been learning Zbrush through digital tutors and watching speed sculpting. this is my first attempt but I started with a Dynamesh sphere for the fighter, and appended the stand as a bit of a last minute thought. A lot of it was me just clicking on things and seeing what happens. I'm going to do some anatomy sculpting because I'm not happy with it here.
